What age groups are welcome?

We welcome members of all ages, with a special focus on involving young people in our activities.
We encourage people of all ages to become a member of our organisation.

Messy Church:

Messy Church is for children up to 12 years old.

Youth Church:

Youth Church is for young people aged 12-17.

Youth Church also includes the Confirmation group who meet regularly to prepare for their Confirmation in Spring. 

 

Adults:
Your membership as an adult benefits our organisation immensely. 

Our organisation is one that is run for the people, by the people. By becoming a member of SAYCA,  we hope that you would like to contribute to helping us run our organisation in whatever way you can.
Whatever skills you have to offer, we would love you to contribute!
We aim to provide opportunities for our young people to become involved in planning, collaborating, and building activities through meaningful and democratic interaction.  If you believe that you have something to bring to the table to model this kind of interaction, then we look forward to hearing from you!

How can I get involved in youth activities?

You can join our youth activities by contacting us directly or attending one of our upcoming events.

What type of events do you organize?

Messy Church:

Messy Church is for children up to 12 years old. There are many types of activities that go on at Messy Church, some being:

  • Storytelling and performances about Christ and bible stories
  • Singing and playing
  • Arts and crafts
  • Nature-based activities and trips

Youth Church:

Youth Church is for young people aged 12-17. Youth Church involves activities that promote good social relations between the teenagers of St. Alban's and which allow them to deepen their understanding of the Christian mission and explore their faith with other young people. This can be done through activities that involve:

  • Bible sessions
  • Shared meals
  • Bicycle rides
  • Forest excursions and bonfires
  • Food sharing on the streets

Youth Church also includes the Confirmation group who meet regularly to prepare for their Confirmation in Spring.
